A Sneak Peak....

Yes yes I know. I have seven siblings...oh and in case you were wondering...this is Katie speaking:D Well, anyway, I have seven siblings and since you might be wondering exactly who they are....unless you are related to me in any way whatsoever you probably already know who they are....actually its like guaranteed that you do:D So, below I made a little list with a little bit about each bro/sis:D Um, if you are family, once again you will get a more detailed (like 4 1/2 pages) version:D In our Christmas letter.

Jacob: 14 and my twin brother. Loves to tease, play, bug, fight, and change his mind, so much that it makes you dizzy in the process! ;D
Katie: I am 14 and love to write, read, hang with friends, listen to and find new songs on itunes, and play soccer!!!
Daniel: 12 and likes to be called Danny. Loves to play basketball and is a total nerd. Jk, jk calm down it wasn't that mean!!! :D
Joshua: 10 and is commonly known as Josh:D He recently discovered the harmonica, and even though he can't play a song, he does have a pretty good beat!
Adam: 7 and cutest of the boys!!! Excluding Jeffrey, but he's a different story. I am currently teaching him piano and I can't tell if he likes it or not;D He loves doing karate with Josh and smiling. :D
Beth: 6 and a brat. Alright, alright, maybe not ALL the time:D I love her, and when I started lessons with Adam, she told me right away that she wanted lessons too! Of course, mom and dad, weren't going to pay me for it, so I just told her to play these notes, and she can play!
Jeffrey: He is 3 1/2 and really IS the cutest kid in the neighborhood! He loves to play with his brothers, legos, and Anna. HE IS SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anna: Barely 1 and really is the only competition for Jeffrey:D She. is. the. joy. of. life. :D I absolutely love her to death and she loves to dance (to pretty much anything), and roll her tongue. :D

Well, that's all and I hope you've enjoyed this sneak peak into my life!!!

Surprise Visit to Disneyland Resort! Yay!

Our visit began with a fun stay at our old house in Simi Valley! The house is now owned by my dad's sister (Jen) and brother-in-law (Aaron) and their kids (Nathan, Taylor, Alli, and Claire). We left Folsom on Friday and left Simi Valley on Monday. But not before we had loads of fun! The younger kids made sure to really wear out the swings, while the older boys (and me, of course) played on the wii for definitely most of our stay! We ended with a cuddle-up-n-watch the movie The Incredibles!

Next, we left for the fun hotel we were staying at in Anaheim (which Jacob constantly pronounced Anahaym). Embassy Suites hotel had a beautiful setting. With fun trees, comfy couches, and even a coy fish pond! (The pond also had turtles.) We rented two suites, one for the boys (Jacob, Daniel, Josh, Adam, Jeffrey) and one for the girls and mom and dad (Katie, Beth, Anna, Mom, Dad). On Monday, we mostly just swam in the indoor pool, checked out our new rooms, and played on the awesome glass elevators! While swimming, Jacob and Daniel had fun pushing me in while I was busy talking to Anna.
The next day, Tuesday, we left on the shuttle that took us to Disneyland at 7 AM. Which also meant we had to wake up and eat at 6! Since we had bought 3 day park-hoppers, we also each had a special early day ticket. We decided to use it on Tuesday. So the park opened at 8 instead of 9 for us. :D And we definitely had an early start! We made sure make it on Space Mountain, (which Beth said was her favorite ride!) Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh and much more! On Splash Mountain, the man who was directing the people to their seats (and for those who don't know, you sit in a six-seater, single line, 'wooden' log) directed me to the front. Yay. Me. As you can see by the picture below, I got plenty wet! Jeffrey went with Dad in the back of the "log" (the back seat is bigger than the rest of the seats). We had tons and tons of fun!!!

The next day, Wednesday, we made another visit (this time taking the 8 o'clock shuttle) to Disneyland! Right up until about noon, we stayed at Disneyland. We watched a fun Star Wars: Jedi Training Academy show thingy. It was a lot of fun. Jeffrey was also pretty excited because afterwards, he got to see Buzz Lightyear! At noon, Jacob and I went to California Adventure. The rest of the family stayed in Disneyland. We, of course, went on pretty much all of the best rides before our brake, including: Grizzly River Run, California Screamin', Soarin' Over California, Orange Stinger (twice), Hollywood Tower of

Terror, and Maliboomer.

Afterwards, our feet hurt from running so much. :D On Thursday, we had a fun visit to the beach! We drove there, and I killed my calves by using muscles I don't think I have. ;D Mostly, we just boogie-boarded and played in the water. The beach we were at happened to be right next to tide pools. So when the tide finally went out, we got to see a lot of crabs, sea anemones, and other tiny animals living there. There was only one problem; it also meant that the sand by the waves was filled with sharp shells that had fallen off of their rocks. Ahhh! That made boogie-boarding at that beach a more painful experience than we would have hoped. Jacob came home with a scraped up belly, while my legs were bright red!
Finally, we ended our amazing Disneyland stay with a fun, exciting day on Friday. Leaving the hotel on the 8 o'clock shuttle, we got there plenty early. We started out - again - at Disneyland. But after lunch, we walked over to California Adventure and spent the rest of the day there. Well, most of the day. We did take our routinely brake for an early dinner at 4. We got back at like 6 and spent the rest of our time at California Adventure. Until 8:30, which was when Jacob, Me, Daniel, and Josh had to be back in time to see the Electrical Parade at 8:45. Once we got through the croud (after a late getting off of the last ride: the orange stinger, because Jacob couldn't seem to keep the rules -- :D) and settled down in our places to watch the parade, my mom asked (because she wanted to watch Fantasmick too) Jacob and me to go, right when the parade ended, and get us spots in Disneyland. That, of course, is when I hurt my shin. Since we literally sprinted across California Adventure, and then through the space in between the two parks, and then across Disneyland, dodging people and making really sharp turns, I hurt one of my shins from running for too long and for too hard. Oops! The only positive thing I got out of that run, was that we got really good seats!!! That was pretty much our whole trip! Oh! One more thing, we did stay on Main Street until 1:30 am shopping and eating mile-long chocolate cakes!!

First Dance and B-day

Yesterday was mine and Jacob's 14th birthday. It was pretty much the most awesome birthday EVER!!!!!! The pic below is of Jacob and Me, (and Beth and family) singing "Happy Birthday" to ourselves.
This pic is of me ready for the dance. Oh! Maybe I should tell you guys that Jacob and I had our first Mormon dance last night at 8:30 pm. My cousin and her friend came with us. We had a TON of fun. Here is a pic of (left to right) me, Julia (my cousin), and Emily (her friend--and mine too). Just in case you want the details of our dance: I danced five slow songs (it was multi-stake) out of ten. Four of them were girls' choice; I didn't ask anybody though. So, in the end, I only didn't get asked once. Jacob danced pretty much every song. (Although he was the one who asked the girls :D) The fast songs were awesome and the dance, all in all, was really really REALLY fun!!!

School Carnival

On Friday afternoon (yesterday), Katie, Jacob, and the rest of the family went to Beth and Adam's School Carnival. Of course we (Jacob and Katie) had a ton of fun. This first pic is of Jacob eating his yummy grape sno-cone. This next pic is of us together, the coupons Katie is holding are for Beyond Juice. Katie "won" two of them, Jacob had three, and, apparently, Daniel "won" eleven of them. Wow!!!
The last pic is of Katie, lookin' nice. :D
